Why not express all that you feel, without filters, without care, just because you can!

McCance and God say homosexuality is a sin; Simon says No!

Mr. McCance, the elected Vice President of the Midland School Board, in Arkansas, was caught posting some very harsh comments expressing his hatred of homosexuality, encouraging the suicide of gay children and enjoying the facts that gay folks give each other AIDS and die.

A few days later, pressured by his peers, the media and Stephen Blackwood, McCance publicly apologized for the poor speech he used on Facebook, and announced that he was stepping down from his position on the School Board.

Some might wonder why one can be so proactively homophobic. The subject of this article, McCance, during his apology, said he still believes that homosexuality is against the word of God. So does pastor Harry Craig, of Pleasant Plains Full Gospel Church who preaches that gays and lesbians are "thinking they're all right, and [God is] going to let them think that and go to hell for believing what they're doing is right."

So, McCance and the good pastor suggest that somehow, homophobia is excused, condoned or justified by the bible, or the word of god?
Not so, say I. As I always suspected, and it appears to be confirmed by scientific research, homophobia is apparently associated with homosexual arousal that the homophobic individual is either unaware of or denies. (Henry E. Adams, Lester W. Wright, Jr., and Bethany A. Lohr from Department of Psychology at the University of Georgia, 1996).

Like it or not.

Hatred is an exhausting feeling. Don’t throw good energy after bad!

Blind Justice’s Seeing Eye dog… does not always smell the rat!

On 10/14/2010, the Brevard County State Attorney’s office filed a third degree felony against Leauntie S. Cole for making a false statement, or fact on Medicaid claim. She was arrested by law enforcement officers with the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, and later released. She is now facing 3rd felony criminal prosecution. Based upon the record, the fraud was for more than $300.00 and less than $20,000.00. Though she does not appear to have any criminal record in Brevard County, her career will likely be over, and she’ll have a hard time getting a job anywhere, when her case is over. If the facts supporting the charges are correct, she is a thief, and she must be punished. No questions! Good job for the Medicaid Fraud Unit.

Now, let’s backup a few months to March 2010. Dr. Todd Scarbrough and his group had been accused of defrauding Medicare of millions of dollars, over a period of years. It took the Feds more a year to investigate the fraud. In March 2010, Dr. Scarbrough and his codefendant MIMA P.A., paid $12,000,000.00 plus interest to settle their civil case filed by the government. The settlement amount suggests the extent of the fraud. It appears that the good doctor Scarbrough was never arrested, was never criminally charged, and he entered into some “Integrity Agreement,” with the Dept. of Health and Human Services. A quick search confirms that he is now practicing oncology in Owensboro, Kentucky. So, here are my three questions of the day:

1.                  Did Ms. Cole fail to steal enough to avoid criminal prosecution?
2.                  Does Florida or the United States, have different set of statutes applying to the medical profession?
3.                  Is our system dangerously corrupt?

Caregiver arrested on charge of Medicaid fraud
FLORIDA TODAY • October 29, 2010
Leauntie Shunina Cole, 26, of Cocoa, a caregiver to the developmentally disabled by A+Home-Aid Inc., was arrested Monday on a charge of Medicaid fraud after allegedly having submitted service logs for services never provided.
Cole was arrested by law enforcement officers with the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.
The investigation revealed that Cole provided personal care assistance services for Medicaid Waiver recipients. Cole presented falsified service logs to her employer, for reimbursement for services that were never performed, according to the Attorney General.
Cole is charged with one count of Medicaid provider fraud, which carries a maximum of five years in prison and a $5,000 fine.

Feds settle Medicare fraud case with MIMA
Florida Today, January 19, 2010
The U.S. Department of Justice said it has reached a tentative settlement with Brevard County's largest physician group, which is accused of defrauding Medicare out of millions of dollars in unnecessary, duplicative and costly radiation treatments.
Following up on a whistleblower's complaint, federal agents spent more than a year investigating billing practices and medical records of Melbourne Internal Medicine Associates' cancer treatment center. The government filed its civil complaint in federal court in October and, in court records unsealed last week, lawyers asked for extra time to finalize a settlement agreement with MIMA. The terms of the settlement are not known.
"If the parties resolve this matter by settlement and the case is dismissed, the parties and the court will be saved substantial resources otherwise spent on discovery and trial," the government's lawyers said in asking for more time.
The government is seeking to recover losses from false Medicare claims submitted "as a result of the sustained fraudulent course of conduct of the defendants," MIMA and Dr. Todd Scarbrough (above), the former medical director of its cancer center. Scarbrough has since left the cancer center. Attempts to determine his whereabouts were unsuccessful. A call to his lawyer was not returned.
In its complaint, the government alleges the cancer center had "defrauded Medicare and TRICARE through various schemes designed to improperly inflate the claims that MIMA submitted on behalf of (the cancer center) to Medicare."

Voting was complicated! Now, it becomes impossible!

I remember the good old times when people could vote FOR someone, because there was someone to vote for… Two years ago, it all changed, as most people were forced to vote AGAINST someone. The choice, however, was limited; should I vote against the elderly, or against the black man? The choice was challenging, yet it was a 50/50 against vote.

On November 2nd, the list of demagogues to vote against is longer, and the problem is that it is not a 50/50 anymore. What if I can find no one honest enough to qualify? Here is an easy way to reduce the amount of parasites we must feed for the pitiful service they render: let’s have the following choice on the ballot:

◘ I can’t find one, please remove that elected position.

Now, we are onto something…but it won’t happen! We’ll just have to find the less worst… good luck!

Gentlepeople, please kindly take your political correctness and shove it!

Where does Political Correctness (PC) come from? Whom does it serve? What is its purpose? Is PC some policy designed to reduce social offensiveness in some contexts, and why? Or is it some group’s attempt to frame, restrict, tamper with or molest the people’s ability to express themselves? Or is it, as suggested by Edna Andrews, an attempt to control thoughts as language represents thought, because moderate conceptions of the relation between language and thought are sufficient to support the “reasonable deduction of cultural change via linguistic change,” or yet, as Hutton reported, political correctness is one of the brilliant tools developed in the mid-1980s, to demolish American liberalism?

Is anyone suggesting that racist language promotes racism, or sexist language promotes sexism, or yet that when people are precluded from using certain words, they will change their way of thinking or feeling?
Is anyone suggesting that when some closet queer or other bigot uses the word “fag” to make believe that he is very much against such a lifestyle or choice, which he is in fact dying to embrace, will change his thinking if he is forced to use instead the word “homersexual?”
Is anyone suggesting that if some redneck is suddenly obligated to call someone he usually refers to as a nigger, “an African American man,” he will suddenly consider that racism is a belief of the past and that racial discrimination has disappeared?
Is anyone suggesting that if the exploiter decides that “white trash” must now be referred to as "Caucasian culturally-disadvantaged," the latter will suddenly move out of their mobile homes into modular manufactured homes and live happier ever after?

Who are they kidding? A racist will be a racist, a bigot will be a bigot, and a sexist pig will remain a sexist pig. The problem with PC, is that it advocates that people should hide behind the curtain of hypocrisy PC creates.
On the other hand, the advantage of letting people express themselves honestly or offensively if they so choose, is that we’ll know what people really think and where they stand; why is honesty frowned upon? Why is it becoming less and less acceptable in our society? Ever heard the sarcastic “Tell me what you really think!” or “This guy has no filters!”? as if it was something outrageous… One would think that everyone would or should want people who say what they think, what they feel without filters.

I don’t want to live in a society whose members are forced to adjust their thoughts and how they express themselves to what the exploiter has decided is appropriate, in the name of PC or any other bullshit.

Why are more and more people being, or fake being offended by words? Where is this over-sob-sensibility to words coming from? Toughen up people, de-sanitize your thought process, obliterate the manipulators from your mind, expand your own thinking power, preclude the manipulators from tempering with your beliefs or molesting your intellect, and start getting offended by what is really offensive (don’t get me started with that topic), rather than letting the exploiter distract you with PC.

D.H. Lawrence best described the impact words should have, on intelligently sincere individuals: “the real individual has second thoughts and says: Am I really shocked? Do I really feel outraged and indignant?—and the answer of any individual who has ever got so far as to ask himself the question, sincerely, is bound to be: No, I am not shocked, not outraged nor indignant. I know the word and take it for what it is, and I am not going to be jockeyed into making a mountain out of a molehill, not for all the law in the world.”

In conclusion, almost a century before the exploiter excreted its concept of political correctness; D.H. Lawrence had pinned down the problem and described it so much better than I ever could: “The mass is forever vulgar because it can’t distinguish between its own original feelings and feelings which are diddled into existence by the exploiter. The public is always profane, because it is controlled from the outside, by the trickster, and never from the inside by its own sincerity. The mob is always obscene, because it’s always second hand.”

Les Francais parlent aux Americains...

Many friends tease me about what is going on in France right now. Here is what is my opinion about the strikes:
I understand that the unions represent 10% of the active (productive population.) They are unhappy because the legislature will force the people to work untill age 62 before becoming eligible to collect their pension.
Let's remember that France is a country where most people work 35 hours a week, get 5 weeks paid vacation, get paid when they miss work because they are sick, etc... This social package is not free, nor is it cheap. Now, the government can only steal so much from the heavily taxed payers, and spend it on social programs.
It appears that the unionists have a hard time understanding the concept that the government can only spend what it has, and when the account is empty, some discipline must be reinjected into the system.
What is particularly disturbing with the union's action, is that their strikes and "manifs," affect seriously the lives of the regular folks rather than those with whom they disagree. The second thing, is that the legislature which is voting to enact these changes was democratically elected by the people, when they, on the other hand, are a minority trying to bully their position in taking the majority hostage. The last thing is that with all the social protections the French people have, the jobs of these strikers is pretty much never on the line...
So I understand when most of the hard working French people suggest to the unionsist "d'aller se faire enculer..." (in French in the text as the word "fuck" which does not bother me is not always well regarded in the English litterature)
