What happened to the lawsuit involving the negative feedback left on EBay?

Remember Elliot L. Miller, the scumbag attorney from Miami Beach who filed a lawsuit against Michael Steadman? Miller had sold on EBay a time clock alleged to be defective. When he refused to refund Steadman, Steadman left a negative comment on EBay to the effect that Miller was a “Bad seller; he has the ethics of a used car salesman,” which is, in fact, insulting to used car salesmen.
I find this type of lawsuit so very offensive and would love to see a jury award a large amount to the defendant in the suit, had a valid counterclaim been filed. I bet that any jury would very much dislike the abject plaintiff, Miller, and punish him for what I find to be a clear abuse of process.
Miller probably knows that, and the purpose of his suit was likely solely to punish financially Steadman in forcing him into an expensive legal battle he could not afford. He somewhat succeeded, until a Brevard attorney, Tony Hernandez decided to help Steadman pro-bono. (I would have helped him if the case was in Brevard).
Now, since Tony filed his notice of appearance, in May, 7 months ago, it appears that the case has not evolved much, which seems to confirm my belief that Miller’s purpose is now defeated.
I really wish that this case would result in some serious financial penalty to the despicable lawyer; it would have been the cherry on top of all the bad publicity Miller has already received by a rightly incensed public.

Professional courtesy… or double standard?

A few days ago, Deputy Bobby Jones was caught committing a crime of dating violence in downtown Melbourne. Scott Damsgaard, a witness who had heard the victim screaming from a block away, approached and observed the battery in progress. When he tried to intervene, Bobby Jones allegedly told him: “You need to stand back or I'll kill you. I'll fuck you up."
No charge has been filed, and Jones was not even arrested. Melbourne police allegedly said they have not arrested Jones because the State Attorney's Office needs to look at the evidence first. When did that new policy come about? Or is it a policy which only applies to coppers? With this evidence at hand, any regular citizen would have been arrested immediately and brought to Sharpes with no bond prior to his first court appearance. What’s going on? What is with the double standard?
Now, five days later, another Cocoa off duty cop, Roney M. Daniel, was observed by third party witnesses assaulting another driver with a firearm in Palm Bay. He then crashed his car. The crash investigation resulted in his arrest for two counts of misdemeanor DUI. However, the Palm Bay police never charged him with the serious felony witnesses observed him committing when he was (while off duty and allegedly drunk) chasing another motorist, and pointing his personal gun out of the window. Will the State Attorney's Office correct that wrong? I doubt it.
He was released from the jail on $1,000.00 bond. Any other regular schmuck would have been charged with a second degree felony; aggravated assault with a firearm, which carries a minimum mandatory sentence of three years in prison.
What the fuck is going on? I am sure the honest cops I know are wondering, as I do, how these things can happen. Twice in a week, two large police departments, Melbourne and Palm Bay are blatantly showing they can’t be trusted, because they failed their mandate to equally apply the law when the defendant is a colleague from a neighboring department.
The public should demand some explanation as to how these departments can apply different standards with impunity when it comes to make charging decisions against other law enforcement officers. The public should also be told who, in both cases, were the highest in the chain of command that made these decisions.

If Obama can do it, you should too!

Long before the last elections, I watched in amazement how some Republicans, could not keep their foot out of their mouth… Amazingly, all of these champs lost. There was one hanging chad who had not lost quite yet; Alaska’s wannabe senator Joe Miller. Well, the Alaska’s Supremes (sounds like a desert or a soul band) finally told him to give it up. They said Joe, you’re the loser. I bet 5 out of 5! Lesson learned for politicians and criminal: the more you keep your mouth shut, the better you’ll do!

Censure! What should be censured? Who should do it?

I realize that it is often difficult to intellectualize concepts, rather than emotionally react to them.
I will try to explain what I am suggesting when it comes to finding the real issue in the case where a Colorado writer was arrested on a Florida warrant because of the content of his prose; Phillip Greaves was arrested for selling his book entitled “Pedophiles’ Guide to Love and Pleasure” to a Florida buyer (a law enforcement officer) who specifically requested to buy it.
Tough the behavior might have been acceptable in ancient Greece; the sexual perversion is unacceptable in our society today, a society where pedophilia is defined as a psychiatric disorder.
Let’s first agree that “normal” people are nauseated by the act (of pedophilia). Let’s further agree that to assure the safety of the children, to lesser their exposure to the deviants, and to protect them from this vile perversion, we must expose and discuss the topic rather than hide it or avoid it, contrary to the ways our society dealt with such problems a few years back.
Now, let’s look at the written words. They are used to express people’s thoughts, ideas, research, and views. Sometimes these ideas and views are unbearable to some, but we must let them flow, as once the manipulators are in a position to decide what can and cannot flow; we’ll start sliding on a very dangerous slope.
Let’s go back to Greaves' Book, and let’s imagine for a moment that the title was instead “A journey in the mind of a sick pervert, or how to understand the way pedophiles think, to better hunt them down.” Let’s go further and consider that it is written by a doctoral student with a master in criminal justice, who is presenting his thesis. In his thesis, the author would introduce, with warnings and connotations of disgust, the detailed description of what some pedophiles' fantasies are, for the very specific purpose of understanding the sick functioning of a pervert’s criminal mind, to better investigate their crimes, to set them up, to arrest them, to prosecute them, and ideally, to send them to the electric chair, or to a far away island.
The substance of the text would be exactly the same as is the text in Greaves' book, but for the warnings and the added writer’s opinions reflecting the “normal” societal feelings, and reactions towards the topic. His book containing the exact same content as Greaves', but presented in a different light, would then be completely acceptable, or even praised. Suddenly, in a different frame, the same exact picture loses its lewdness; same exact stories and opposite reaction from the “normal public.”
What if the book was written by one who had been abused for years as a child, and writes it to ask active pedophiles who escape arrest and prosecution, not to hurt their other victims…
The issue here is not with the written words, but with the presentation; not the substance, but the form.
The deadly danger of such censure is twofold: first, who will decide what must be censured? The Ayatollahs, the Nazis, the Chavezs, the Castros, the Klansmans, the McCarthys, the Kim Jong Hills, or the Hitlers? And second, what must be censored?
The only certain way to completely avoid this problem, is to let all ideas flow; these we like, these we dislike, and these we can't stand, in banning any kind of censure.
This case is not about pedophilia. The real issue is that when we accept the government’s censorship of one person’s freedom of expression, sooner or later, we’ll all be suffering similar censorship.

Could we get some more government censure pretty please!

After I started analyzing and researching the likely impact caused by the primal actions taken by Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd, I just came across the following link. I was hungry for some food for thoughts… on a topic that will not die quickly…
If you let anyone's freedom of expression be muzzled, be certain that yours will be next.
The debate will be difficult because the mob will try to manipulate it in making "pedophilia" the issue, and pedophilia is a disturbing subject. When in fact, only small minds or political manipulative pricks like Judd, will argue that pedophilia is the issue, when it is not. The only issue in this new debate is “FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION,” and the government's attempt to muzzle it.
If the people reject the mob's attempt to misguide them away from the actual subject, and can focus on the real topic: “the freedom to express oneself,” we may have a chance. The problem is that some folks, unintelligent or easily manipulated, won’t have the ability to grasp this very simple and easy concept.
Now, the link:
“As long as humans have sought to communicate, others have sought to prevent them. Every day someone tries to restrict or control what can be said, written, sung, or broadcast. Almost every idea ever thought has proved objectionable to one person or another, and almost everyone has sometimes felt the world would be a better place if only "so and so" would go away.
Perhaps because of their ubiquity, books, especially public and school library books are among the most visible targets. Books are hardly the only target of would-be censors, however. Free expression is constantly challenged in the arts, in broadcast media, and on the Internet.”

Behind Assange's Arrest: Sweden's Sex-Crime Problem? One of many.

“But despite having the freedom to dictate their sexual encounters, Swedish women face a troubling fact: Sweden has by far the highest incidence of reported rapes in Europe, and one of the lowest conviction rates in the developed world…. Each year, Sweden records 46 cases of reported rape per 100,000 people, roughly twice the rate in the U.S. or the U.K. Yet the conviction rate is a measly 10%, one of the lowest in the developed world.”
A troubling fact?  No, it is just a logical response to the distorted coaching by a handful of feminists of what is sexual criminal behavior in the name of gender equality achievement at all cost.
Eben Harrell who wrote the article for the Times (below), seems to have missed the real causes of the alleged problems.
Sweden has been trying for decades to achieve gender equality. There is no such thing as gender equality. There is gender understanding, and gender respect. In fact it is the complementarity of the genders which makes life what it is, and which makes societies who recognize that simple fact, thrive.
Now, if some Swedish insecure manipulators, attempt to convince its people that if a condom brakes during love making, or if a woman fails to say “yes” loud enough, or if both parties are having sex while under the influence of alcohol, or else that if one party falls asleep during the act, these are rapes which should be reported presto to the Swedish police, then, it explains why Swedes report twice as many rape cases as the U.K. or the U.S.; Swedes don’t have the highest incidence of rapes; they devised the loosest and most deceptive description of what a rape really is.
The second issue is the apparent concern that conviction rate in "Swedish rapes" is at 10%, the lowest in the developed world. Guess what? The manipulators can formulate their sex laws as wackily as they want, the public is not completely stupid, and the jurors must know better than the Swedish legislators what a rape is... and is not.
We are facing the same false problem here in the U.S. with what’s some label “child abuse.” The government has removed from its people the ability to properly raise their children. (Hence, the myriad of delinquents). Even though the law does not preclude it, parents get regularly arrested in Florida for felony child abuse, when spanking their kids; even when the latter definitely deserved it. I did not find any statistics showing the conviction rate in these type of cases, but in my opinion, much less that 10% of those arrested get convicted, with a large portion of these arrests not even being filed by the prosecutors.
In both cases, the result of the manipulations and over-dramatization of these actions into criminal acts result in desensitizing the public. This desensitization harms the victims of real rape cases in Sweden, and of real child abuse victims in the US. The collateral damage is that when law enforcement and prosecutors thinly spread their resources to deal with these bullshit cases, it limits the resource which should be used to deal with the real cases.
Finally, if politicians had the balls to deal honestly (instead of polically) with these issues, in a way broadly supported by a great majority, their actions would result in a better protection of the real victims of these intolerable crimes.
And by the way, if Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd does not like what I write, please have him take his dislikes, and shove it up his arse.
Here is the Times article:
Foreign visitors to Stockholm's lively bar scene might be struck by the assertiveness of the nation's women — the typical Swedish female seems to have no qualms about approaching men to start a conversation or initiate a romantic encounter. To Swedish feminists, that confidence is just one part of the country's wider effort to promote women's rights. "The whole society now expects women to be as forward with their sexual will as men. That, after all, is part of achieving gender equality," explains Karine Arakelian, chairwoman of Terrafem, a shelter organization for abused women.
But despite having the freedom to dictate their sexual encounters, Swedish women face a troubling fact: Sweden has by far the highest incidence of reported rapes in Europe, and one of the lowest conviction rates in the developed world. Various international bodies — from the U.N. to Amnesty International — have slammed the country for the prevalence of sex crimes committed by its citizens. In response, the Swedish government has in recent years undertaken aggressive measures to toughen up its sex-crime laws.
And it's in this context that WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, currently under police watch in London, finds himself awaiting possible extradition to Sweden to face questioning related to five different sex-crime allegations. The claims, which include rape, stem from sexual encounters Assange had with two women in August that began as consensual but, according to his accusers, became nonconsensual. Assange and his attorneys have claimed that Sweden's public prosecutor is pursuing the former hacker at the behest of the U.S. government, as retribution for the embarrassing diplomatic cables published recently by WikiLeaks. But it's much more likely that political pressure of a different sort has landed Assange under police watch: Sweden's campaign to aggressively pursue all accusations of sex crimes.
On Thursday, a British judge released Assange on conditional bail. Assange had been granted bail on Tuesday but spent the next two days in prison while Swedish prosecutors appealed the decision. Assange has not been charged with a crime, and he denies any wrongdoing. But his arrest is another piece of Sweden's internal dialogue about how the country can counter its sex-crime crisis.
(See "TIME's Julian Assange Interview: Full Transcript/Audio.")
Each year, Sweden records 46 cases of reported rape per 100,000 people, roughly twice the rate in the U.S. or the U.K. Yet the conviction rate is a measly 10%, one of the lowest in the developed world. And the problem seems to be getting worse: the rate of reported sex crimes has increased by 60% in the past decade, according to government statistics. Some commentators suggest that the high rates of reported rape could, paradoxically, be a sign of Sweden's success in promoting gender equality, as women who have a greater awareness of their rights are more likely to speak out if those rights are violated. "Rape is not more common in Sweden [than elsewhere]," says Karin Sandell of Uppsala University's National Centre for Knowledge of Men's Violence Against Women, echoing a sentiment expressed by many Swedish rape experts. "It's just that Swedish women are more empowered to report it to police."
But no one knows that for sure. Some observers worry that there is a subterranean current of sexual violence running beneath Sweden's seemingly placid public image. (Swedish crime fiction, for example, is famous for its lurid descriptions of sexual violence — the literal translation of the Swedish title for the first book in Stieg Larsson's popular Millennium trilogy is Men Who Hate Women.) In a report in 2007, the U.N. Special Rapporteur on violence against women wrote, "While the equal opportunity agenda has paved the way for significant advances in the public representation of women ... the Swedish experience is less effective in countering the unequal power relations between women and men in the private sphere, thus resulting in the normalization of violence." Indeed, it's not just police reports that paint a troubling picture. A government survey in 2001 found that almost half of the women who responded said they had been the victim of a violent or sexual assault by a man since their 15th birthday.
Concerned particularly about the low rates of conviction following rape reports, the government launched a three-year program in 2007 designed to educate elements in the criminal-justice system on how to more aggressively pursue rape claims, since victims often drop their charges out of fear, shame or loyalty to the accused. And in 1998 and 2005, the definition of rape in Sweden was broadened to include, for instance, forcing sex through the threat of violence and having sex with a sleeping or unconscious woman.
It is under this wider definition of the word that police wish to question Assange. Police reports state that the allegations against Assange center around claims by two Swedish women who say that on separate occasions each had consented to have sex with Assange, but that sometime during or after the encounter, he engaged in sexual behavior against their will. According to the Swedish branch of Interpol, a recent arrest warrant for Assange states that the rape accusation stems from a sexual encounter in which the woman "was asleep and in a helpless state." There is also a sexual-molestation allegation based on claims that in a different incident, "the pair [were] sleeping naked together and the suspect [pushed] his naked erect penis into her body." And prosecutors also want to question Assange in relation to the suspicion that he sexually coerced one of the women by "lying on top of [her], using his weight to prevent her from moving, and forcefully spreading her legs," and that he sexually molested both women by "having sex without the use of a condom, without the woman's knowledge."
No one could have predicted that Assange would become one of Sweden's most wanted when he traveled to the country in August to hold a series of lectures on WikiLeaks and received a rapturous welcome. According to Thomas Mattsson, editor of the Swedish daily Expressen, the nation's affinity for Assange came naturally: Swedes share his love of technology and his belief in open government. But Mattsson says Swedes have another passion that is equally important. "We are very moral in terms of how well-known and powerful men may behave with women in all kinds of situations, romantically or professionally," he says.
And for the Swedes who are grappling with the disturbingly high rates of sexual crimes against women, when it comes to nonconsensual sex, what happens behind closed doors should never remain a secret. If anyone can understand that compulsion to expose injustice, it's Assange.

This the season. Just founded some new great non invasive religion.

As you all know, I have long been a passionate practicing religious scholar. I am now a Pooh-Bah of the “COCKREL” club; a very little known spiritual club which originated in Pahokee, my birth place. Every member is a Pooh-Bah. In the COCKREL kitchen, it’s all chefs Pooh-Bah, no cooks. The COCKREL members embrace a combination of all earthly and spacy religions. It is some kind of a disorganized smorgasbord of organized religions.  A COCKREL membership offers countless benefits. It beats, hands down, all other credence, as it allows room for error. With COCKREL, you can’t go wrong. You venerate all the gods in one quick sweep. No doubt, the sweep will include the right god. Without COCKREL, imagine for a second what would happen to those who picked the wrong one!
So many choices of religions and gods; and just a lifetime to decide. COCKREL, no need to choose! Embrace them all. When in doubt, COCKREL it!
The COCKREL membership is free. No meetings; no donations; no guilt; no kneeling; no smoke; no story book in funny characters; no painful self-flagellation; no mandatory trips; no molestation; no constraint; no insult to the members’ intelligence; no rosary; no fashion competition; no hypocrisy; no confession; no free food and wine; no carpet needed; no endless boring meetings; no salesmen preachers; no nonsensical stories and no practice paraphernalia.
The perfect, guaranteed path to the right heaven; or your Monopoly money back. No question asked. Heaven guaranteed and free. The best after and during life you can imagine.
NOW, HOW DID WE COME UP WITH “COCKREL”?

COCKREL ETYMOLOGY: The compression of the two words: cocktail and religions.
COCKREL RECEIPE: Throw all organized religions, credence and philosophical beliefs in a large drum. 50 gallons will do. Mix it well for approximately 10 minutes. Add a few drops of lavender oil for good measure. Strain all man-made bullshit, politics, dishonesty, hypocrisy, greed, lies and decay. Keep only the spiritualism, the respect of others, the kindness, the love of nature, the acceptance and respect of others’ ideas, the understanding, recognition and deference to people who have different views than the Cockrelians. You just have created a new batch of COCKREL.
All the problems affecting the usual religious clubs deluxe do not exist in the COCKREL club. As the Cockrelians believe in peace, kindness and tolerance. They don’t start wars, they don’t seek control, and they don’t manipulate their members. All the members are Pooh-Bahs after all.  The COCKREL club membership is totally FREE. We have no buildings, no paraphernalia, no managers or preachers or other expensive popes, rabbis, monks, priests, ayatollah, prophets or imams. You keep all that you earn, as the Cockrelians find it awkward when money is commingled with spiritualism. It always gets a funny smell!
The COCKREL spirituality is a mind process. When it comes to spiritual thoughts, Cockrelians believe that no one should derive a financial benefit when helping others with their mind process, if and when they ask.
In our serene approach to spiritualism, we resolve our dislikes in a simple way. We don’t persecute anyone; we simply avoid and ignore certain breeds: those who sell religion; those who profit because of religion; those who control others with religion; those who threaten with religion; pretty much all those folks who acquire financial, power or material benefits from others in using any form of religion as an exploiting tool.
The Cockrelians have no spiritual or religious obligations, no calendars, no weekly meetings, no hourly prayers, no offering plate, no 10% of your income, no fantastic stories, no boring meetings, no commandments, no saints, no Sunday suit, no miracles, no guilt trips, no prayers for cash, no subtle threats (or blatant) and no lifetime obligations. The Cockrelians dismiss, avoid and ignore the wealthy religious managers of all creeds who are living the life of luxury while trying to convince you, for hefty fees, that even though your life is shitty now, the afterlife will be wonderful. Hopefully as more and more people embrace COCKRELIANISM, this breed of charlatans will likely disappear.
COCKRELIANISM is a lifestyle whose members revere a positive and respectful attitude without the need of accessories, or leaders, but friends with whom they can exchange ideas, and who treat others in the same manner they’d expect to be treated. Wow! It feels that if all humans were Cockrelians, there wouldn’t be any need to die to go to heaven….

Friendly Holiday Advice

Jeep Crash Accident Pictures, PhotoPlease, carefully enjoy this Holiday season. A recent joint study conducted by the Department of Health and the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles indicates that 23% of traffic accidents involving injury or death are alcohol related.

This means that the remaining 77% are caused by assholes that just drink coffee, carbonated drinks, juices, milk, water, red bull, lattes, shakes, and other nonalcoholic beverages.
Therefore, beware of those who do not drink alcohol, as statistics show that they cause three times as many accidents as those who enjoy natural alcoholic beverages.
Alcohol is unfairly getting a bad rap, when it should not: Genesis 4:B(17) “on the third day, god invented fermentation.”
Take this advice to heart.

Another outstanding use of our hard earned tax monies…

The US government is suing a school district, in Chicago, for denying a Muslin teacher unpaid leave to make a pilgrimage to Mecca. Yes, you read it right; not the NAACP, the US government!
Adult Muslims are supposed to make such trip at least once in a lifetime if they are physically and financially able to. Hence, I fail to see the big emergency. But at any rate, these kinds of headlines make us look like the world fools. Only in America!
What about the separation of church and state?
Here is Poppy’s solution to another false problem, which will cost us millions we don’t have in useless legal expense. Let’s legislate: (4 lines)
TITLE: Religion interference with workplace.
“When the practice of your religion interferes with your job schedule or job description, you can either adjust the religious practice, or leave your job. It is perfectly OK for you to find your religion idiot-syncracies to be more important than your job. In which case, it is OK for your employer to legally fire your ass.”
(I am confident your organized church will provide you with the ability to create income…)

US sues school over denial of Muslim pilgrimage
WASHINGTON – The federal government sued a suburban Chicago school district Monday for denying a Muslim middle school teacher unpaid leave to make a pilgrimage to Mecca that is a central part of her religion.
In a civil rights case, the department said the school district in Berkeley, Ill., denied the request of Safoorah Khan on grounds that her requested leave was unrelated to her professional duties and was not set forth in the contract between the school district and the teachers union. In doing so the school district violated the Civil Rights Act of 1964 by failing to reasonably accommodate her religious practices, the government said.
Khan wanted to perform the Hajj, the pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia which every adult Muslim is supposed to make at least once in a lifetime if they are physically and financially able to. Millions go each year.
Khan started as a middle school teacher for Berkeley School District 87 — about 15 miles west of Chicago — in 2007. In 2008, she asked for almost three weeks of unpaid leave to perform the Hajj. After the district twice denied her request, Khan wrote the board that "based on her religious beliefs, she could not justify delaying performing hajj," and resigned shortly thereafter, according to the lawsuit filed in federal court in Chicago.
Berkeley School District compelled Khan to choose between her job and her religious beliefs, the lawsuit said.
The government asked the court to order the school district to adopt policies that reasonably accommodate its employees' religious practices and beliefs, and to reinstate Khan with back pay and also pay her compensatory damages.
In November 2008, Khan filed a complaint with the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which found reasonable cause that discrimination had occurred and forwarded the matter to the Justice Department. The case is the first brought by department in a project to ensure vigorous enforcement of the 1964 act against state and local governments by improving cooperation between the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the department's civil rights division.

THE SWEDISH FAKE RAPE SAGA HURTS EVERY REAL RAPE VICTIM

Since Assange is in jail for manufactured crimes he did not commit, and it appears that he will be maliciously prosecuted in Sweden for said crimes, it is time for Lisbeth, the “Girl with the dragon tattoo,” to hack into the computer of Claes Gustaf Borgström or is it Pinocchio, the longtime politician who now practices law with Social Democratic politician and former Minister for Justice Thomas Bodström. It would be interesting to find out the real reasons as to why he is representing the two snakes who accused Assange of rape.
Puppet Borgström dismissed as nonsensical the suggestion made by Assange, WikiLeaks supporters and many others, that the sex investigation in Sweden was somehow related to “dirty tricks” launched against him and the whistle-blowing Web site by their antagonists in the CIA, the Pentagon, or elsewhere in the U.S. government.
Really?
I have reviewed the allegations made by the two Swedish drama queens in dire need of attention. Their agenda is very disturbing because the media broadcast of their stories is helping develop a distorted view and understanding of what is criminal sexual behavior, to the young, developing or wandering minds. It further damages all real sexual battery cases and victims in giving the public and potential jurors a diminished sense of the severity of traumas associated with a real rapes.
Now, as to their corrupt politician, lawyer Claes Gustaf Borgström, I have no doubt that his real clients are not Ms. A and Ms. W as they are now called in the media. (Let’s make sure their privacy rights are protected while they are maliciously trying to assassinate Assange’s character.)
"It has been very interesting (predictable?)," sighs Feminist blogger Terri Whitehouse, "to see how quickly people who would normally be feminist allies have been pretty quick to slut-shame and victim-blame (or, at best, victim-dismiss), while people who have demonstrably proven to be enemies of women's bodily autonomy in the past so suddenly seem to give a shit about a few sexual assaults across the world."

Prime Minister of Australia must have impressed Obama. Here is Obama's next speech.... just kidding.

'IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT. Take It Or Leave It. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture. Since the terrorist attacks on the twin towers, on September 11, 2001, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. '
'This culture has been developed over two centuries of struggles, trials and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom'
'We speak mainly ENGLISH, not Spanish, Lebanese, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society. Learn the language!'
'Most Americans believe in God. Christian men and women, on Christian beliefs founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture. We will accept, respect, and will not question your beliefs, unless they encourage or preach violence towards anyone. If your belief system includes or suggests any type of violence, we will quickly deal with you, as there is no place or justification in our civilized society for violence. As we accept your beliefs, you’ll accept ours, and live in harmony and peaceful enjoyment with us.'
'This is OUR COUNTRY, OUR LAND, and OUR LIFESTYLE, and we will allow you every opportunity to enjoy all this. But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about Our Flag, Our Pledge, Our Christian beliefs, or Our Way of Life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great American freedom, 'THE RIGHT TO LEAVE'.'
'If you aren't happy here then LEAVE. We didn't force you to come here. You asked to be here. So accept the country YOU accepted.'

Got my well check yesterday!

No, nothing to deposit at the bank, just a visit to my yearly friend. My partner and I made a wise decision when we picked him because of his size. A small doctor is always better for the annual checkup.
All started well. The front desk lady asked me if I had filled the blanks in the book they had sent me, to which I answered that nothing had changed and that they must have the data already. Wrong answer! Here is the book, go do your homework! I just circle the 50 “NO” on each side of the pages in one daring sweep. Claimed the fifth to some other questions. Failed to remember if I had 1.5 or 1.75 glasses of wine with dinner. Copied the list of vitamins from my cheat sheet. Allergy? Yes allergic to waste my time giving you data you already have. Authorized them to release all they wanted to my wife, including STD infos if needed. Signed. Dated. I was done. Sloppy, but done. Should be getting D+ on this one.
I was called inside by the nurse, and the first abuse started. Patrick, please step on the scale. Hold on, lady. Let me remove my watch, my keys, my glasses, my wedding band and my socks. In fact, hold on, I’ll go shave my legs. We sure don’t want to get inflated results on this one! Tried to put my shoes back on for the height measurement, but was denied…
We then get in the little room. Another few questions, I am offered some shirt which I wore the wrong way. My nurse tells me to put the slit in the back… They must have purchased some rejects to cut the cost. How do you tie it in the back? Anyway, I know that the slit is in the front; the hole, in the back.
I found a little heater on the ground, and tampered with it. Had the time to inspect and play with everything they have in the mini room, and the little good doctor comes in. Hello, hello and a few more questions. All looks good. Your knees are noisy… All in all, I get a B+ as I need to shed a little weight, if I can, and if Vinnie gives me the willpower.
I am done! So I thought. Hold on a second, I was going to forget to say “Hi!” to Mr. Prostate utters my doctor. Do you have to? Oh Yes! Please assume the position! Doc, please go easy, it is extremely tight down there. I’ll be gentle. First, let me grab 3 pounds of jelly… then the little song “the doctor’s finger is in my sphincter…” Not really enjoyable (for me that is). We are done, here is a Kleenex. A Kleenex? Do you have a roll of paper towel instead? This magic jelly is self-expanding; the more you wipe, the more there is. I then understood why one walks faster on the way out than on the way in: K.Y. cheeks’ lubrication.
No I am ready to go. Not yet! My nurse forgot to check my vitals. Now, please note: Never let them check your blood pressure after the prostate check. It appears that the unusual visit of an internal organ by your doctor’s finger (even a little finger, see above) from the outside will somehow trigger the increase of your blood pressure.
Thank doc! I’ll skip the flu shot, and yes, I promise I’ll fast three days and come back for the blood test I skipped the past two years, as I can’t miss my espressos when I get up… and your lab opens too late. See you next Xmas!

US: Let's destroy Assange... through malicious prosecution.

Anna Ardin

The transfer of the secret documents stolen by Private Bradley Manning from the US Department to Wikileaks, and their release by the latter had tremendous benefits to the US Government which appears to have been much overlooked.
First and foremost, it revealed the lousy security protections which were in place for such documents alleged to be so secret. Second, it informed us that secret documents had been stolen, and which they were. Imagine for a moment that instead, Manning would have discretely sold these documents to enemy nations, N. Korea, Iran or many others. Imagine the immense cost of the intelligence it would have taken to try understanding the origin of said info, if these enemy nations used or somehow selectively released information to hurt us. Third, it shows our inability to assume our responsibilities. It shows that our people are trained to displace responsibilities as much as they can.
This incredible fuckup is not Assange’s! The source of this quagmire is the incompetence of our Defense Department to protect its data alleged to be top secret from a petty thief.
Now, to add insult to injury, in its continued effort to displace the blame, our government pressured Sweden to try reopen and prosecute two manufactured sex cases which had already be dumped by a Swedish prosecutor for good reasons. Is that how our justice system works? If and when we cannot “engage the target,” we have them destroyed though malicious prosecution.
The case was reopened by Marianne Ny. Ny’s statement that “there is reason to believe that a crime has been committed. Considering information available at present, my judgment is that the classification of the crime is rape,” can only be the figment of a mind purposely distorted by some cerebral masturbation, and repulsively misguided by political pressure.
The Times article below reveals the details of the sexual encounters, which Marianne Ny, whose political or other ambition is visibly more important than her ethical duties, considers rape…
The two Swedish women who have brought sex charges against WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange boasted about their relationship with him days before going to police.
Based on information available on various websites quoting police and court files, and reports in the Swedish media, here's an account of what happened.
The story goes back to August this year, when Assange was in Stockholm to speak at the invitation of Sweden's Social Democratic Party.
The event organizer was 31-year-old Anna Ardin, press secretary of the Brotherhood Movement, which is an adjunct of the Social Democratic Party. Ardin, who has been described as a feminist, leftist and animal rights activist, previously worked at the Uppsala University, handling equality issues for the students' union. (After pressing charges against Assange, she has been called a "CIA agent" on various blogs and Twitter. The internet is abuzz with conspiracy theories on how Assange was framed. Speculation about her ties to CIA is being fuelled by her alleged association with anti-Castro groups funded by the US.)
When Assange arrived in Stockholm on August 11, Ardin invited him to stay at her flat while she visited her family for a few days out in the country. Ardin returned home on August 13; she and Assange had sex that night. Both have admitted a condom was used and it broke. On August 20, Ardin would go to police alleging that Assange deliberately broke the condom during sex.
Ardin's co-accuser, 26-year-old Sofia Wilen, an aspiring photographer, had sex with Assange on the evening of August 16 and again the following morning. The first time, a condom was used; the second time, there was no condom. On August 20, Wilen would go to police alleging that Assange had refused to wear a condom.
Assange insists that the sex with both women was consensual. After the sexual encounters, neither woman seemed to harbour any resentment against Assange. One of Assange's lawyers has been quoted as saying: "The exact content of Wilen's mobile phone texts is not yet known but their bragging and exculpatory character has been confirmed by Swedish prosecutors. Neither Wilen's nor Ardin's texts complain of rape."
On August 14, the day following the night of "crime", Assange delivered a 90-minute speech about how the first casualty of war is truth. Ardin was in attendance (as was Wilen) but showed no signs of the previous night's "trauma". The two women can be seen in a video of the conference. At 2 o'clock that night, while hosting a party in Assange's honour at her flat, Ardin tweeted: "Sitting outside; nearly freezing; with the world's coolest people; it's pretty amazing."
After going to police on August 20, she deleted the tweet. The post deleted from annaardin.bloggy.se and twitter.com/annaardin can still be seen on http://www.samtycke.nu/doc/AnnaArdin_cache19aug.htm.
After sex with Assange on the morning of August 17, Wilen went out, and bought, then cooked breakfast – oatmeal and juice.
On August 18, Wilen called up Ardin and told her that she had unprotected sex with Assange. She said she was upset he didn't use a condom and was afraid she might have contracted an STD or become pregnant. Ardin said she too had sex with Assange. On August 20, both women filed charges against him.
And an obscure Swedish law was invoked. It is sometimes called the "surprise sex" law. In essence, it holds that if a woman withdraws her consent at any point during intercourse, and the man continues, it becomes rape. This transition from consensual to non-consensual sex is what Assange is accused of. All this will have to be proved in the court — a Swedish one.
One thing, however, is certain: the word "rape" has come to stick to Assange's name and his creation, WikiLeaks. A Google search for "wikileaks rape" returns 3.09 million results. But will this association deliver a blow to the idea that is WikiLeaks?
Just a day after the two women went to police to file charges against Assange, Nicholas John Mead, a British freelance journalist, wrote on his blog : "Whether this is an orchestrated smear campaign, just two very silly girls, or a genuine case of rape and harassment, the fact is that WikiLeaks is bigger than Assange as he I'm sure would be the first to admit. It, and other projects like it, cannot be stopped."

How does Dan Crews' torture likely benefit some medical professionals?

Dan Crews was involved in a car accident when he was 3 years old. Since then, and for the past 24 years, he has had his arms and legs strapped down 24 hours a day, seven days a week and he cannot do anything about it, nor can he go anywhere. Because his diaphragm is paralyzed, he is hooked up to a mechanical ventilator connected to his throat. That machine breathes for him.  He does not want to live like this any longer as he feels he has no friends, no education, no education prospect, no job prospect, and no love prospect.
The U.S. Supreme Court ruled a decade ago that a person can refuse medical treatment -- provided that person is competent.
Now, the grabsurd  (I just coined this one, it is a combination of greed and absurdity): “The head psychiatrist at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa says Dan is depressed, and that depression overrides his ability to make a life or death decision.” While Dan’s position is that he is not depressed -- "no more than the average person in my position."
Just allow me a little rawness for a second: Who the fuck would not be depressed if in Dan Crews’ position? Does it take a “head of psychiatry” to come up with this brilliant clinical finding?
Here are the few questions I would love to pose to the good doctor, would I be the judge in this matter:
1.      How much money Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa has received for the care of Dan Crews since he was first flown there 24 years ago?
2.      How much money have you received from Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, in the past 24 years.
3.      Don’t you find a conflict, when your diagnosis of Dan Crews (which diagnosis precludes Dan from ending his life of torture) directly affects your business income?
4.      and finally: How do you feel, as a human being with all the physical faculties to fully enjoy life, when you refuse to let a quadriplegic leave with dignity, but you instead force him to continue enduring his living nightmare?

We, the pretentious animals who tolerate this type of non sense, would like to pretend that we live in a developed and humane society. Is there ANYTHING we can do to help Dan go with dignity?
